the Touch that Teaches...
TTouch is a gentle, positive teaching method for animals that combines bodywork and groundwork exercises.
The process supports health, improves mental focus, physical balance, coordination, emotional equilibrium and reduces tension while deepening the bond between animal and caregiver.
Developed by animal expert Linda Tellington-Jones, TTouch is used widely in many countries by pet caregivers, shelter assistants, trainers, veterinarians, groomers and in zoos.
The bodywork is a technique of light touches to the skin that affect change via the nervous system. As caregiver, you learn these touches to give to your animal companion.
In the groundwork, you mindfully guide your animal companion through movement processes that increase awareness, confidence and communication. This includes the use of tools like leashes, harnesses and body wraps.
Together, the bodywork and groundwork promote change, release tension and open the door to new possibilities with compassion and understanding.
